Yahoo (YHOO) CEO Marissa Mayer’s plan to restart revenue growth at her stagnant Internet giant took what some observers see as a step forward in Q1, with the company posting its first quarter of display-ad revenue growth since 2012. The 2% display-ad growth vs. the year-earlier quarter comes after “many years of decline, an early indication that CEO’s strategy may be working,” wrote Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Youssef Squali in a research note.
