Facebook and Twitter both say that the World Cup has boosted worldwide engagement, which could be good news as both companies seek quicker international expansion. Facebook (FB) says that it logged about 1 billion posts, comments and likes related to the World Cup from June 12 through Sunday, the first few weeks of the big soccer tournament in Brazil.
