Google won a key appeals court ruling on a 2005 lawsuit filed by authors who object to the Internet giant making millions of books searchable online for free. In a ruling announced Friday, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York rejected infringement claims filed by the Authors Guild and several individual writers.
