Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, a unit of Time Warner (TWX), has become a powerhouse in the traditional video game business. In July, Warner Bros. had the top two best-selling video games at U.S. retail, besting such major publishers as Activision Blizzard (ATVI) and Electronic Arts (EA). Its family-friendly game “Lego Jurassic World” was No. 1, followed by gritty comic book saga “Batman: Arkham Knight.” Warner Bros. had three titles in the top 10 last month, with “Mortal Kombat X” coming in eighth place, retail tracker NPD Group reported late Thursday. Activision and Electronic Arts each had two games in the top 10 in July, NPD said. Scalper1 News
