VMware’s (VMW) Q2 earnings topped Street views, but soft billings prompted some analysts Wednesday to question the virtualization software leader’s growth prospects into 2016. VMware late Tuesday reported Q2 earnings per share excluding items of 93 cents, up 15% from the year-earlier quarter. Revenue rose 9.6% to $1.6 billion.
