Sales of the first smartphone from Amazon.com aren’t exactly on fire. A report Tuesday by the Guardian estimates that Amazon has sold no more than 35,000 Amazon Fire smartphones in the product’s first 20 days of availability. Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos introduced the Fire smartphone at a media event on June 18. The handset features Firefly technology, which recognizes movies, TV episodes, music and consumer products as well as printed phone numbers, email and Web addresses. The Fire phone also has a 4.7-inch display and unlimited cloud storage for photos taken with the device. The Fire phone went on sale July 25 and is exclusive to AT&T (T) in the U.S. The device costs $199 with a two-year contract.
