Verizon CFO: ‘Highest Backlog’ Of iPhone Upgrades

Verizon Communications (VZ) early Tuesday posted Q3 earnings that missed Wall Street estimates by a penny, but its CFO expects a big iPhone quarter in Q4. Verizon said its earnings per share minus items rose 16% from the year-earlier quarter to 89 cents, as its wireless service profit margin slipped to 49.5% from 51%.
