Venture Capital Firms Raise $7.4 Bil In Q2, Down 19%

Venture capital firms raised $7.4 billion in new commitments in the second quarter, down 19% from the first quarter but up 122% from Q2 2013. The money was raised by 78 individual venture capital fund portfolios, including 20 new funds, according to the National Venture Capital Association and Thomson Reuters.
