The disclosed value of mergers and acquisitions of venture capital-backed companies fell 56% in Q2 from a strong first quarter. Of the 97 total M&A deals in Q2, 33 had a disclosed value, which totaled $3.35 billion. That amount compares with $7.55 billion in Q1, which was the strongest three-month period since Q3 2012.
