The third quarter saw 23 venture capital-backed IPOs, lifting the total for the past nine months above all of 2013. Q3’s IPOs raised $2.56 billion, bringing the total for the year to $11 billion, matching all of 2013. It was the sixth consecutive quarter to see 20 or more venture-backed IPOs, according to a report by Thomson Reuters and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA).
