Several trucking stocks have broken out of bases lately, despite stormy weather that hurt operations. Arkansas Best (ABFS) and Saia (SAIA) broke out last week. PAM Transportation (PTSI), which trades just 17,000 shares daily, broke out Monday. Heartland Express (HTLD) found support at its 50-day moving average last month, the same time that Swift Transportation (SWFT) broke out of its base.
