Data storage startup Tintri, a marketing partner of VMware (VMW), raised $125 million in a funding round, nearly doubling its venture capital investments. Mountain View, Calif.-based Tintri competes with NetApp (NTAP) as well as Nimble Storage (NMBL) and IBM (IBM). Tintri, founded by a former VMware executive, supports data storage in virtualized computing environments. The startup has been a partner of VMware since being founded in 2008. VMware’s Scalper1 News
