Tesla Motors’ (TSLA) direct sales are now legal in Maryland after Gov. Larry Hogan signed a bill into law Tuesday. The Maryland General Assembly earlier approved the lifting of the blanket state ban. The new bill says a manufacturer or distributor can be licensed as a dealer if it sells only electric or renewable energy vehicles. Tesla shares rose 2% to 244.57 in the stock market today.
