With sales in China not up to hopes, Tesla Motors is now cutting a substantial number of jobs there, according to new reports. And as the company faces a growing number of luxury electric or plug-in hybrid car rivals, analysts are talking about the possibility that Apple (AAPL) could buy Tesla, if it doesn’t just build an electric car itself.
