U.S. Wireless Gear Spending Seen Rising 8% In 2014

U.S. wireless service providers will spend $36.3 billion on network infrastructure and equipment in 2014, up 8% from last year — but that rate is slower than the growth in the prior two years, says the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) in a new report. Spending on wireless infrastructure equipment rose 11.7% in 2013 and 18.9% in 2012, says the trade group. Verizon Communications (VZ) and AT&T (T) have completed most of their network
