Analyst concerns about Red Hat’s growth prospects appeared to all but disappear last month after the enterprise software company reported third-quarter earnings that beat Wall Street views. Red Hat (RHT) is the No. 1 provider of open-source Linux operating system software and support, helping enterprises migrate from older Unix-based systems. The company more recently is expanding its efforts in middleware, storage software and cloud computing.
BioMarin Pharmaceuticals raised a few eyebrows last month when it announced its latest buyout. Beijing-based online retailer LightInTheBox already sells to customers in 200 countries and 27 languages through a network of overseas fulfillment centers.
