Demi Lovato plans to give video games a ‘Heart Attack’

Singer Demi Lovato is the latest to join the celebrity video game market, joining the likes of Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry. The “Neon Lights” singer has partnered with mobile game developer Pocket Gems to create a game that follows the storyline of becoming a famous musician. Players will join Lovato on tour and backstage as they build their own music careers. The still-untitled game, due out this summer, will be a “choose your own adventure” story, Pocket Gem business development executive Jameel Khalfan told Billboard magazine. It will run on Pocket Gems’ Episode platform and will be available for Apple (AAPL) iOS and Google (GOOGL) Android devices. In May, Chinese Internet company Tencent Holdings (TCEHY) took a roughly 20% stake in Pocket Gems for $60 million, the Wall Street Journal reported.
