SolarWinds Latest Tech Company Going Private
Private-equity firms Silver Lake Partners and Thoma Bravo on Wednesday agreed to acquire SolarWinds (SWI) in a deal valued at $4.5 billion. SolarWinds sells software that helps IT departments manage their communications networks. SolarWinds stockholders will receive $60.10 per share, the companies said, nearly a 20% premium to the Austin, Texas-based company’s closing price on Tuesday.
