Add a filter to a photo.

To add a filter to a photo you’ve taken, tap Edit and tap . Scroll the thumbnails below the photo to view different color effects. Tap to select a filter and preview your photo. Tap Apply, then tap Save. Note: Your original photo is preserved, and you can tap Edit and again to add a different filter or restore the original photo. Edited photo stream photos are saved to Camera Roll.

Crop a photo.

Tap Edit, then tap . Drag the corners of the grid to crop, and drag the photo to reposition it. Tap Aspect to give the window a specific dimension. Tap Crop when finished, then tap Save. Note: Your original photo is preserved, and you can tap Edit and again to re-crop your photo or restore the original. Edited photo stream photos are saved to the Camera Roll.

Use emoji picture characters in your message.

In Settings, tap General, then tap Keyboard, then Keyboards and Add New Keyboard. Tap Emoji. To bring up the Emoji keyboard while typing a message, tap .
