Graphics chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA) received an upgrade Monday based on the recent success of two new products and just ahead of its Q3 earnings due after the close Thursday. Chip stocks got a boost Monday from a positive report by RBC Capital Markets analyst Doug Freedman.
