Ciena (CIEN) stock fell Thursday after the fiber-optics parts maker missed fiscal Q4 earnings estimates and forecast current-quarter revenue below views. Finisar (FNSR) stock rose Friday after the maker of components for fiber-optic networks delivered fiscal Q2 profit and revenue above analyst estimates and gave a Q3 forecast that also beat consensus estimates. Finisar stock climbed 5% to 22.90 in early trading in the stock market today.
