Macy’s begins stocking Fitbit devices nationwide

Fitbit (FIT) is expanding the retail distribution of its activity trackers by adding Macy’s (M) stores to its lineup. Macy’s is rolling out Fitbit devices to its stores nationwide, Piper Jaffray analyst Erinn Murphy said in a report Monday. The distribution arrangement with Macy’s is a “significant catalyst near term” for Fitbit in the fall and holiday shopping seasons, Murphy said.
