Expedia late Thursday reported a mixed Q3, with sales slightly missing views and earnings slightly beating, in its first financial report since acquiring rival online travel agency Orbitz on Sept. 17. Expedia (EXPE) reported Q3 revenue of $1.94 billion, up 16% from $1.66 billion in the year-earlier quarter. Earnings per share ex items rose 6% to $2.07. Expedia Q3 Earnings First Since Orbitz Acquisition

Expedia (EXPE), hot off the heels of its $1.3 billion Orbitz takeover, is expected to post its first year-over-year EPS increase in four quarters when it reports Q3 earnings after the close Thursday. Analysts expect the online travel agent’s Q3 revenue to increase 12% from the year-earlier quarter, to $1.95 billion. Earnings per share minus items are expected to rise 6% to $2.05 from $1.93, according to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
