EBay Announces ‘Live’ Auction Deal With Sotheby’s

EBay (EBAY) said Monday that it is developing an online platform with global auctioneer Sotheby’s (BID) that, among other things, will let bidders participate in live auctions for art, antiques and other collectibles that are taking place at Sotheby’s headquarters in New York. SolarWinds (SWI) on Wednesday said it’s agreed to buy Sweden-based Pingdom, whose customers for website performance monitoring tools are said to include Spotify, Microsoft (MSFT), Twitter (TWTR), eBay (EBAY) and GitHub.
