Dish Q3 Pay-TV Earnings Weak; Ergen Eyes LightSquared

Dish Network (DISH) early Tuesday reported Q3 earnings and revenue below expectations as the satellite TV broadcaster lost 12,000 subscribers, but another apparent radio spectrum gain by founder Charlie Ergen may offset disappointing pay-TV results, analysts said. Dish Network was down 4.5% in early trading in the stock market today. Dish said it earned 31 cents per share in the September quarter, down from 68 cents in the year-earlier period.
