SunPower (SPWR) has entered its second joint venture in China to develop and own at least 3 gigawatts of solar power plants, and SunPower stock rose Friday. The San Jose, Calif.-based company said its joint venture is called Sichuan Shengtian New Energy Development Co., based in Chengdu, China. It includes Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor, Sichuan Development Holding, Leshan Electric Power and Tianjin Tsinlien Investment Holding. The power plants Scalper1 News
