Now that Steve Ballmer has given up the Microsoft (MSFT) boardroom for courtside seats with his Los Angeles Clippers, CEO Satya Nadella can continue his transformation of the software giant without having his predecessor there to second-guess him. Ballmer stepped down from Microsoft’s (MSFT) board on Tuesday, citing the multitude of commitments he has taken on since retiring as CEO in February, including ownership of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. “In the six months since leaving, I have become very busy.
