In early trading on Thursday, shares of Signet Jewelers topped the list of the day’s best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 6.8%. Year to date, Signet Jewelers has lost about 27.0% of its value. And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is PPG Industries, trading down 3.4%. PPG Industries is showing a gain of 8.9% looking at the year to date performance. Two other components making moves today are Seagate Technology, trading down 2.8%, and Mosaic, trading up 5.4% on the day.
