In early trading on Thursday, shares of Harman International Industries ( HAR ) topped the list of the day’s best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 9.8%. Year to date, Harman International Industries has lost about 4.6% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is CF Industries Holdings ( CF ), trading down 13.9%. CF Industries Holdings is lower by about 48.3% looking at the year to date performance. Two other components making moves today are MetLife ( MET ), trading down 8.6%, and Ball Corp ( BLL ), trading up 8.7% on the day.
