SolarCity (SCTY), the No. 1 U.S. residential solar installer, is expected to see a big gain in megawatts deployed, but a bigger Q3 loss than in the year-earlier quarter, when it posts its earnings after the close Wednesday. The San Mateo, Calif.-based company expects a Q3 per-share loss of 1.10-1.20 excluding items, up from a 43-cent per-share loss in the year-earlier quarter.
