Solar energy had a banner year in the U.S., with installations in terms of megawatts rising a record 30% in 2014. Solar photovoltaic array installations last year reached 6,201 megawatts, up from 4,776 in 2013. That’s 12 times the amount installed five years earlier, according to a new report from GTM Research and the Solar Energy Industry Association. California led the U.S. in new installations in 2014, followed by North Carolina and Nevada. Scalper1 News
