Skyworks Solutions late Thursday posted a ninth straight quarter of earnings growth and double-digit revenue growth amid strong demand for its chips that enable Apple iPhones and help connect devices in the Internet of Things. The Woburn, Mass.-based chipmaker reported $805 million in sales for its fiscal Q1 ended Jan. 2, up 59% from the year-earlier quarter. Earnings per share excluding items rose 88% to $1.26.
