A steady stream of economic data in recent weeks has been lukewarm at best, but on Monday, Wall Street liked what it saw in March retail sales data. Sales rose 1.1%, slightly above estimates and the best showing since September 2012. Excluding autos, sales rose 0.7%, also above estimates. Another bright spot in Monday’s data was that sales at motor vehicle and parts dealers increased 3.1% in March, an acceleration from 2.5% growth in February. Out Scalper1 News
