Server Market Shows Recovery, Led By Hewlett-Packard

Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) held the top position in the computer server market in the third quarter with 26.5% share of revenue, followed by IBM (IBM) with 18.2%. Global server sales rose 4.8% to $12.7 billion, as unit shipments rose 5.7% to 2.38 million. This is the second consecutive quarter that the server market has experienced a year-over-year improvement in worldwide revenue, IDC said in a press release.
