Beleaguered specialty drugmaker Salix Pharmaceuticals (SLXP) popped 4% Tuesday afternoon on word that it’s exploring a possible sale of the company. Citing anonymous sources, Reuters reported that Salix hired Centerview Partners to explore its options, though it has not yet definitely decided whether to sell itself.
