Rumored big-screen iPhone 6 sees ‘unprecedented’ consumer interest

A survey of early tech adopters has found “an unprecedented level of consumer interest” in purchasing Apple’s (AAPL) rumored big-screen iPhone 6, which is expected to debut this fall. In March, 451 Research surveyed more than 4,100 tech-savvy consumers, mostly in North America, about their smartphone purchase plans. In total, 40% said they would be likely to buy the next-generation iPhone, with 14% “very likely” and 26% “somewhat likely,” the research firm said. In March 2012, 33% of respondents said they would be likely to buy the iPhone 5 when it came out.
