Apple (AAPL) reportedly is planning to remove the headphone jack from its smartphones starting with next year’s iPhone 7, and at least one analyst says that’s a terrible idea. “I am pretty certain that Apple is considering whether or not to remove the headphone jack, but actually taking this drastic step is far more dangerous than one would think,” Edison Investment Research analyst Richard Windsor said in a research note Wednesday.
