The Pentagon plans to open an office in Silicon Valley as it looks to beef up its cybersecurity and build more advanced weapon systems. The news is set to be announced at Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter’s speech at Stanford University on Thursday for an event called “Rewiring the Pentagon: Charting a New Path on Innovation and Cybersecurity.” The office, with 15 staffers, is set to open in Moffett Field in a month.
