Oracle Stock Rises On Q2 Cloud Business Growth

Oracle (ORCL) stock was up 8% in morning trading Friday, at a more than 14-year high, as the growth in the longtime software leader’s cloud business buoyed investors. Late Wednesday, Oracle posted a 45% rise for its cloud business in the quarter ended Nov. 30. Overall, revenue rose 3% and earnings per share minus items were flat, both beating Wall Street expectations. Oracel stock was near 44.50 in morning trading on the stock market today.
