NXP Rolls Out Chips For Home Automation, IoT Market

NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) announced Wednesday that it’s rolling out a new “low power, long range” wireless microcontroller designed to double the connectivity range of smart home and lighting products. The Netherlands-based chipmaker has its sights set on expanding its line of products for home automation, one of the leading sectors in the Internet of Things market.
