Microsoft Q1 earnings could change the story for Nadella

Microsoft (MSFT) Chief Executive Satya Nadella has been making headlines for the wrong reasons lately. But he has a chance to change the story Thursday when the company reports fiscal first-quarter earnings after the market close. Nadella took flak for suggesting that women shouldn’t ask for pay raises and instead should trust in the system to take care of them. He said it was “good karma” for women to wait patiently for pay raises. After making his comments at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing on Oct. 9 in Phoenix, he was criticized for being insensitive to the gender pay gap issue. Then Microsoft revealed in regulatory filings on Monday that Nadella’s first-year pay package is valued at $84.3 million for fiscal 2014, which ended June 30. The compensation package included a salary of $919,000, a $3.6 million cash bonus and stock awards worth about $80 million…. Scalper1 News
