Microsoft’s (MSFT) move Wednesday to establish data storage centers in Germany is the latest fallout from the end of a longstanding data transfer agreement between the U.S. and European Union. Since the European Court of Justice last month scrapped the Safe Harbor Agreement, U.S. Internet companies have responded by bulking up data centers in the EU.
