MasterCard (MA) on Tuesday said it has entered seven new markets in Africa. The global payments technology company says it now operates in 48 of the economically surging continent’s 55 markets. The seven new markets in Central and West Africa are Chad, the Central African Republic, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and Gambia. MasterCard also said it has expanded its acceptance network of ATMs and point-of-sale terminals across Africa to Scalper1 News
