M obile game publisher Glu Mobile (GLUU) saw its shares skyrocket like a firework on Thursday after the company announced it is making a video game featuring pop singer Katy Perry. The game will feature Perry’s voice, likeness and personality and will launch in late 2015 for Apple (AAPL) iOS and Google (GOOGL) Android smartphones and tablets, Glu said in a press release late Wednesday. The announcement came three days after Perry earned positive reviews for her bubbly halftime performance at Super Bowl XLIX. “We anticipate that Katy’s significant global audience, including more than 170 million fans on social media, will make her a strong gaming partner for Glu,” Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi said in a statement.
