JD.com Eyes China Lux Market As Alibaba Targets U.S.

JD.com (JD) and sunglasses giant Luxottica (LUX) are teaming up to bring Ray-Bans, Oakleys and other sunglasses to the Chinese e-commerce site in a bid for China’s luxury consumers. “We’re delighted to be partnering with Luxottica, the clear global leader in luxury eyewear, to expand our offering in this market that is rapidly growing among Chinese consumers,” said JD.com VP Lijun Xin in a release.
