With one more IPO yet to go, initial public offerings on U.S. markets will close the year at a 14-year record in both number of offerings and proceeds raised. As of Thursday, there have been 274 IPOs this year. That’s 23% above last year and the most since 406 in 2000, the peak of the dot-com bubble, reports IPO ETF manager Renaissance Capital. The IPOs raised $84.9 billion, inflated by the record-setting $22 billion IPO of Alibaba (BABA). The Scalper1 News
