No. 1 chipmaker Intel (INTC) won’t overtake Apple (AAPL) mobile chip supplier Qualcomm (QCOM) and Sony (SNE) supplier MediaTek in the mobile industry, but the company has diversified enough to survive lingering hunger pangs within the weak PC industry, one analyst said Friday.
