Intel Taps FreedomPop, Verizon In Wireless Push

Chipmaker Intel’s (INTC) wireless push is growing, with projects that include a Wi-Fi-first smartphone and 5G technologies for the Internet of Things, serving notice to Qualcomm (QCOM) and other rivals. Along the way, Intel is making allies out of Verizon Communications (VZ) and other industry players.
