Struggling chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) lost ground in the fourth quarter to Intel in graphics chips and to Nvidia in graphics add-in boards, according to Jon Peddie Research. Intel (INTC) made big gains in graphics processing units in Q4. Its GPU market share rose to 71.4% from 66.8% in the year-earlier period, JPR said.
