IBM Under Investigation By SEC For Revenue Accounting

IBM (IBM) disclosed Tuesday that the Securities and Exchange Commission is conducting an investigation regarding revenue recognition with respect to the accounting treatment of certain transactions in the U.S., U.K. and Ireland. IBM disclosed the information in a quarterly report it filed with the SEC. IBM said it learned of the investigation in August and is cooperating with the SEC.
